COST Action A33
COST Action A 33 is funded by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). The action was proposed by Uli Sauerland (ZAS, Berlin) to coordinate basic comparative research on first language acquisition in normally developing and language impaired children. The goal is to identify and describe areas of cross-linguistic uniformity that can then be used to for cross-linguistic tests of language impairment. The focus of the research is therefore on semantic and pragmatic development. Currently over 40 researchers from 21 European countries, the US and Saudi Arabia participate in the Action. The funding allows for nine meetings of the group spread out over four years (2006 till 2010). COST Action A33 is an independent project associated with the ZAS.
The Action is organized into a management committee and currently five working groups.
